The Avalanche

To the stars that twinkle

and the moon that shines brightly at night

To the flowers that grow by the road side

and the weeds that spread their bitter-sweet hands through cracked walls

To the children that laughed, embraced in the bosom of pure innocence as they played

To the lovers that promised themselves the world through silent stares

To you all, I apologise

To the wind that dances through my hair and sings at my ear

To water, whose tasteless sweetness I shall always crave

To the strangers that smiled and those that blessed me with a hello

To the friends that made my heart float and my stomach ache with laughter

And to those who made them twist with pain

To you all, I apologise

To the rain that sketches on my window and the sunshine that paints it afterwards

To the peace I get as my body melts on my bed after the day’s end

To the sigh I let out after giving my back a good scratch

To the lovely smell of coffee that wakes me in the morning

To the warmth in my chest when I see food

To you all, I apologise

To the beautifully simple moments I missed

To all moments forfeited as I focused on the bright light from the screened ensemble in my hands

To the moments that slipped away as my fingers wrapped around this ensemble

To the simple blessings of life that waltzed by as I peered down at my phone

To you all, I deeply apologise

  1. I’ve been surfing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like
yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all web owners and bloggers made good
content as you did, the web will be much more useful than ever before.

    1. Thank you for reading. I sincerely believe that every one has their target audience so maybe theirs did not appeal to you. But I’m glad you’ve found something that does.
